The Snow Lake Employment Assistance Centre opened its doors in April 1999 as a project office of Manitoba Education Training & Youth.  It is sponsored by the Snow Lake Family Resource Centre and funded by the Province of Manitoba.

Our mission is to provide access to relevant education and training that is responsive to Manitobans.  This will result in a skilled and adaptable workforce capable of competing in the global marketplace.

We offer programs and service to unemployed and job-threatened Manitobans.  Programs include Wage Subsidies, Labour Exchange, Training Purchases, Employment Partnerships and Self-Employment Assistance.  Other services offered are assistance with resume writing, cover letter development, job search support and interview skill development.  As well, we will work together with you to develop a return to work plan and assist with diagnostic and testing services.

Our computer lab is equipped with internet service and a variety of tutorials to develop and enhance your computer skills.  Many job boards and banks are available via the internet.  This is a valuable tool in your job search.

We are located at 131 Balsam Ave at the Snow Lake Family Resource Centre on the lower level.  We are open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.  Please call (204) 358-7548 or com in and see what we have to offer.

We are here to provide support for change!
