Welcome to Snow Lake's first and only licensed daycare.  We are Northern Tykes Daycare Inc.  We opened our doors in May 2003.  It took about 3 years of planning and hard work to become a licensed daycare, but we are pleased with the outcome.  We are located in the Family Resource Centre Building.

We are licensed for:  four children under 2 years, 18 children from 2-5 years and 6 children from 6-12 years.  We operate Monday-Friday from 6:00am - 6:00pm.

Need a break from the kids for a few hours?  Need to go out of town to an appointment and just don't want to drag the kids along with you?  Then we are perfect for you.  We currently service 23 families in Snow Lake.  Some are on a very casual basis, some on a part-time basis and others on a more regular schedule.

The Director of our Centre is Shannon Elliot.

Our day consists of many fun activities which include playing in our drama centre, playing with blocks, cars, Little People, dinosaurs, etc...  We listen to music and do crafts as well.  Weather permitting we go outside on a daily basis.  Our daycare supplies 2 nutritional snacks per day and supplements lunch with milk or juice.  It is the parent's responsibility to bring lunch for their children.
